Film 2020 Catergorised

Image
This year has been a very crazy and unpredictable one. From cinemas closing down to massive blockbuster films being delayed again and again. I've only saw 28 or so films in the cinema this year, compared to the 110+ back in 2019. With cinemas being closed for the large majority of the year, I've had the chance to catch up on a few films I've not seen. Last year, I only catergorised films I saw in the cinema. But, for the first time ever, I will be catergorising films I saw at home that came out either before or during 2020 instead, with a small few cinema ones sprinkled in. I have also selected 6 entries per catergory.  The entries are NOT ranked from worst to best. I'm not listing EVERY film I saw this year on my blog, if you want to see what films I watched check my Letterboxd profile. Perfect Shots In Mad Max: Fury Road

Hello and welcome to a returning installment of 'Perfect Shots In...'  This week I will be showcasing my favourite shots from a film I've only just saw this month for the first time ever. That being, the 2015 blockbuster Mad Max: Fury Road, directed by George Miller. An absolutely beautiful post-apocalyptic film, that has been praised for it's insane practical effects and thrilling high-octane stunts by pretty much everyone who has saw it.  This will be the shortest edition 'Perfect Shots in...' as I have chosen only a mere 20 shots. But, honestly, for this film, it's quality over quantity, in my opinion. So here are my choices for Perfect Shots in Mad Max: Fury Road:

Casting: DC Extended Universe (The Villains)

Welcome to the second part of a potentially on-going 'Casting: DC Extended Universe' series. This week, I will be focusing on the villains. Like previous weeks, I have picked 3 male characters and 2 female characters. With that being said, here are my casting for the villains of the DC Extended Universe: Stanley Tucci as Mr. Freeze Roles that inspired this casting: Abrham Erskine in 'Captain America: The First Avenger' and The Professor in 'Patient Zero' Jake Gyllenhaal as The Riddler (I done that edit last year, if you're wondering about the name at the bottom) Roles that inspired this casting: Louis Bloom in 'NightCrawler' Daniel Brühl as Reverse-Flash Roles that inspired this casting: Helmut Zemo in 'Captain America: Civil War' Rosamund Pike as Poison Ivy Roles that inspired this casting: Amy Elliot Dunne in 'Gone Girl' Tessa Thompson as Catwoman (biased castin

Casting: The DC Extended Universe (The Heroes)

Hello and welcome this week's edition of 'Casting...'  I have chosen a select few of Super Heroes I hope show up in future DCEU films, or perhaps even Zack Snyder's DC films. With that being said, here are my casting choices for the selected DCEU superheroes: David Oyelowo as John Stewart Role that inspired this casting: Jack Radcliff in 'Don't Let Go' Jason Bateman as Hal Jordan Role that inspired this casting: Sandy Patterson in 'Identity Thief' Charlie Hunnam as Green Arrow Role that inspired this choice: Raymond in 'The Gentlemen' Kristen Stewart as Batwoman (Biased Casting) Roles that inspired this casting: Norah Price in 'Underwater' and Phoebe Larson in 'American Ultra' Melissa Benoist as Supergirl (Biased casting) I'm obviously cheating with this casting as Melissa has already been Supergirl in the CW series, but she was perfectly casted and it'd be an imm

Hello and welcome to another edition of 'Casting...' This week I am casting the MCU version of The Brotherhood. I have mixed in 6 members from different eras of the stable. 2 women and 4 men, with the leader of course being Magneto. To add more clarity to my choices, from now on I will be stating the role(s) that inspired the castings as previously I only shown the images, no details. With that being said here are my choices for the MCU's Brotherhood: Jeremy Irons as Magneto Role that inspired this choice: Ozymandias in HBO's Watchmen TV series Scott Eastwood as Quicksilver Role that inspired this choice: Andrew Foster in the film, Overdrive Florian Munteanu as Sabertooth Role that inspired this choice: Viktor Drago in Creed II Cameron Monaghan as Toad Role that inspired this choice: Jerome Valeska in the TV series Gotham Ana De Armas as Mystique Role that inspired this choice: Joi in Blade Runner 2

Perfect Shots In Amazing Spider-Man 2

Hello and welcome to another edition of 'Perfect Shots In...' With the recent news of Jamie Foxx reprising his role as Electro in the upcoming 3rd MCU Spider-Man film, I decided that this week's post will showcase the Perfect Shots In The Amazing Spider-Man 2.  I, personally, really love this Spider-man film. The casting is, in my opinion of course, perfect. Andrew Garfield is my favourite actor to portray the titular character. Emma Stone as Gwen Stacy is amazing. This film is the best, visually. The CGI hasn't been topped in 6 years since it's April 2014 release. With that being said, here are my picks for the Perfect Shots In The Amazing Spider-Man 2:
