Billie Eilish: The World's A Little Blurry (Review)
This documentary doesn't hold back as it gives a detailed, raw and intimate look at Billie Eilish's meteoric rise to fame from 2016 all the way to her achieving multiple Grammy awards in 2020.
Billie is seemed to many as a recluse, brash A-List superstar, but during the 2 hour and 20 minute runtime comes across as one of the most relatable and down-to-Earth artists of this generation, even while being on sold-out arena tours.
She is a really great singer and this documentary further solidifies that statement during the recording sessions where her true vocal talent is on display with her brother, Finneas doing the instrumental tracks.
I honestly did not know Billie suffers from tourettes and it was quite heartbreaking to see her during the more personal moments having episodes.
As a big fan of both Katy Perry and Billie, I absolutely loved seeing their encounter at Coachella 2019, which is showcased in this film. I really hope they do a collaboration soon.
One scene that truly drives home the fact of her being very down to Earth and relatable is when she is overcome with emotions after meeting her childhood idol, Justin Bieber.
The documentary ended perfectly with her 6 Grammy wins as well as being singing the James Bond theme 'No Time To Die' which is one of my favourite song of her's.
I'd honestly say this tops Katy Perry: Part of Me as being my favourite music documentary.
It's a visually stunning film and doesn't detail her entire life story, just the moments that matter and definetley warranted the over 2 hour runtime.
