Taika Waititi directing Star Wars

With the recent announcement of Taika Waititi on board to direct a upcoming Star Wars film. What better time than now to speculate or just simply wish what films he would do as well as what other directors would be an interesting fit for the Star Wars universe:

Taika Watiti- What We Do In The Shadows(In A Galaxy Far, Far away)

I recently watched Taika's mockumentary, titled What We Do In The Shadows, it is about 4 vampires who are centuries old living in modern-day New Zealand. It was honestly really funny.

Now, I would love if he were to do a film similar to that but with Star Wars characters, places, etc.

My ideal mockumentary would be centered around a week or so in the life(maybe even do a time span of the whole OT) of a group of Galatic Empire Stormtroopers as they are handed assignments, hear about key details from previous movies(e.g The Death Star blowing up) and just overall doing what ever a Stormtroopers do.

I can sort of see it just going to Disney+ though, if it were to be made.

Zack Snyder- Order 66

Snyder gets a undeserving bad rep for his films being all doom and gloom(Watchmen, BvS), but I'd honestly love if he took the helm for at least one film.

He would be perfect with a movie based around Order 66 and the fall of the Republic. I know, I know. Order 66 has been shown quite alot recently, with Jedi: Fallen Order and season 7 of Clone Wars. But, maybe have it focusing on a citezen of Coruscant, whose mission it is to protect a padawan who is on the run from Clone Troopers, programmed to hunt down all the Jedi.

Sam Mendes or Alejandro González Iñárritu- "one shot"

With the crictal success of both 1917 last year and Birdman from 2015. It would be very intriguing to see a "continuous shot" film based in the galactic wars.

Have the film follow a legion of Clones duking it out with the Separtist Droids during one high-octane ground to space battle. Or perhaps focus on the Rebels fighting the Empire or Resistance vs The First Order.

Steven Spielberg- Literally anything

With the success of Ready Player One a few years ago, Spielberg is no stranger to big, gigantic films. He has been entertaining audiences for decades(Do I even need to give examples of his films?) and I think now is the time for him to move onto directing a Star Wars film.

Disney previously got Ron Howard(a close friend of George Lucas) to direct the 2018 film Solo, which became a moderate hit.

With Steven in the director's chair, I'd guarantee that would make at least $350 million in the first week of release.

He could pick any era, any type of film, no matter what, it'll be entertaining.
