January 2019

All Films I've saw in the cinema for the month of January ranked from worst to best.

#9: Mary, Queen of Scots

Honestly, bored the hell out of me.

(1/10)

#8: Vice

It was alright, not terrible. But, the themes of terrorism and the frequent bomb "jumpscares" just made me not like it.

(2/10)

#7: The Favourite

This was the first film of 2019 I saw(January 1st).

I liked it primarily for Emma Stone, everything else didn't interest me.

(4/10)

#6: The Front Runner

Prior to watching this, I thought I'd enjoy Vice over it. Somehow, I was wrong.

Nice film, Hugh Jackman was amazing, although I'm still bitter about the end of Logan.

(5/10)

#5: Second Act

I knew I was gonna somewhat like it, due to the setting being NYC. But I surprisingly enjoyed it.

(6/10)

#4: Welcome To Marwen

Going into this, I knew about the reviews. They were really harsh. I liked it. Alright, the CGI for the figures was sometimes creepy but still a good film.

(6/10)

#3: Instant Family

This seemed like a film I would not enjoy. But, was incorrect.

Loved it, very heartwarming at times even within with the comedic scenes.

(7/10)

#2: Bohemian Rhapsody

I really liked this. I'm not much of a Queen fan, I like a few of their songs.

This film does have it's flaws. Rami Malek not having black/brown contacts, etc. But, they are just minor issues.

Loved how some of their songs were played in relation to the scenes.

(8/10)

#1: GLASS

I never saw Unbreakable or Split prior to seeing this. Having said that. I loved it. Still felt majorly invested in the story.

The key backstory info(why David doesn't like water, Elijah's brittle bone disease and why Kevin has D.I.D) which was scattered throughout the movie definitely helped me understand it better.

I will admit, the ending was a little underwhelming, imo. After recently watching Unbreakable, I honestly love this series of films and wish I watched them sooner.

(9.5/10)
