#7: What Men Want
This was the first Unlimited screening since Instant Family back in January.
Honestly, most of the jokes weren't funny.
Although, the segment at the Staples Center was hilarious. Overall, I mediocrely enjoyed this.
5/10
#6: Mid 90s
I wanted to watch this primarily because it featured skateboarding as the main premise. Heartfelt at times. Also, quite dark at times.
Jonah Hill written and directed this film.
At points, the raw, uncut, letterbox look made the film seem really great(mainly the skating parts).
Themes of friendship and family throughout.
I went into this thinking it was going to mainly be about skateboarding.
Overall, I enjoyed this apart from the sound editing.
5.5/10
#5: Cold Pursuit

Having seen the trailer for it countless times before each screening this year, my hopes for this film were quite low.
However, it surprised me.
Beautifully directed and filmed.
It is a typical merciless Liam Nesson film. Lots and lots of kills/deaths. (Spoiler Alert!) Wingman's death was truly heartbreaking though inevitable. All in all, I enjoyed this slow burner of a film.
6.5/10
#4: WildRose
I'm not a big fan of country music. But, this was great.
Loved the moral of life being greater with things you already have than wishing for something you don't.
I enjoyed this film.

#3: Us
Wow, that was one gripping and intense film. I saw the twist ending coming.
It seemed obvious and safe just to guarantee a "Oh god, that happened!" reaction from the audience. I did enjoy it although the twist ending was really predictable.
7/10
#2: Captain Marvel
This was my first ever midnight screening.
When the film started I was already quite emotional. The Marvel opening logo was dedicated to Stan.
There are quite a few similarities to Black Panther and Wonder Woman. Loved the cat Goose. CG was mediocre at times and occasionally reminded me of the final T'Challa v Kllmonger fight in Black Panther.
The red/gold suit looked amazing.
Most of the jokes were really funny.
Overall, enjoyed it much more than I expected to.
(Spoiler alert for end-credits!) I marked out when bearded Cap shown up. Probably for the last time.
7.5/10
#1: SHAZAM
Well, I didn't expect it to be THAT amazing!
Really enjoyed this film. All the jokes and gags were really funny. (Spoiler alert!) I was slightly disappointed with the ending as Henry Cavill did not show up as Superman, it was just a guy pretending to be him.
Overall, I really enjoyed this film a lot.
8.5/10
